Fully-qualified, UKCP-registered psychotherapist and supervisor
It can take a lot of energy to live with troubling thoughts, feelings or relationships. Many people find talking with a professional therapist, in a confidential and non-judgemental setting, can help them free up that energy and begin to live their lives more fully.
I have worked in private practice for more than twelve years; both short and long term. Some clients choose to meet for a few weekly sessions, whilst others, who want to make significant changes in the way they experience their lives, come weekly for a number of years.
However long the work may continue, therapy is a significant commitment for both client and therapist. I often suggest an initial session where we can meet and talk, and you can ask any questions you might have, before deciding if we go ahead.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including;
Some people simply feel there is "something wrong" and want space to explore their thoughts and feelings.
My way of working is integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic models to suit the particular needs of each client and I'm always happy to discuss the way we work together. I have a particular interest in 'Relational' therapy; a way of exploring difficult, repetitive inter-personal experiences and options for change.
I am committed to ethical, non-discriminatory practice and abide by the principles and ethics of the UKCP. I welcome individuals and couples of all cultures, faiths and sexualities.
