Counselling & Psychotherapy
Counselling/psychotherapy sessions provide a confidential, non-judgemental place to talk, to explore your feelings and thoughts and look at changes you could make.
Some people come knowing what they want to achieve, but many people are not sure what's troubling them, and want time to begin to explore their thoughts, feelings or behaviour.
In many ways both counselling and psychotherapy sessions are the same, and there is very little difference in what might happen in a session. In general the word ‘counselling’ is used to describe shorter term work in which people talk through difficulties around events in their lives. Psychotherapy is often longer term and more in-depth, and concerned with how a person experiences themselves at a deep level.
